For the past several years there have been plenty of opportunities for me to shoot at night but I lost the spark. I no longer had people to shoot with and quite frankly, I've been a bit hesitant to shoot alone in unfamiliar locations. Well, the full moon was shining bright so I called up my friend Conan and we headed out to shoot. Everything in this gallery was shot on my Canon 50D at night. The lighting in the scenes were created from the full moon, street lamps, LED flashlights (red/white), and colored gels I used over top of an old crappy hand held flash. Conan and I took turns walking around, lighting the scenes. He manned and went in the places I was too afraid to touch. All of the images were taken straight off the camera and only slightly tweaked/corrected in adobe camera raw. I edited out a shadow of my camera in one shot and a hot spot from one of the flashes. Other than that, they are real. THESE ARE NOT PHOTOSHOP CREATIONS. If you look at them on the camera, you'd see the same scene. :-)

A recent trip to Alabama has resulted in HDR photos of APR, Audi Performance and Racing's, 06 SEMA Stage 3 GTI, another stage 3 MKV GTI with an LSD running 12's, a loaded APR tuned Audi S4 and one of the APR motorsport race cars. I will upload the images all week (2008-04-14).

I found a pretty intersting tunnel along 11/15 in harrisburg that worked out well for photos. Also, I had a chance to try out a few new techniques on my friend Cameron's Mustang Cobra. Naturally, a few more nightshots got thrown into the mix.

After not shooting for a while I had a chance to capture a few shots while I was visiting friends in London. When I returned, I visited family up north and captured a few at an old factory and an old run down bus.

Uncloudy full moons were becoming scarce but I managed to sneek in a few shot in and around a quarry.

An exciting new gallery! I shot this in several different locations. The first location is a revisit to the Hall mansion. I actually heard of a huge police incident out there just days after these were shot! It's getting a bit dangerous in the summer months to shoot there any more. Next grabbed a few photos from down in Harrisburg's compression tank facility. After that while driving around evening I captured a shot which I have titled 'Mad Cow'. The next location on this roll was a revisit to the Hemp Brothers Quarry. I actually almost got caught while shooting here and had to high tail it out of there! From there I shot a bunch of experimental flashlight painting shots in an old abandoned quarry. Nearly none of the shots came out because it was to dark. A lot of the shots also were ruined because I was not properly focused in the low light. My outing was also cut short due to us finding out it was private property and all on it is to be prosecuted. Not to happy about that one. But lastly, 2 experimental self portraits. Enjoy.

Digital Photo Manipulations
Early in my college years I played around with photoshop almost on a daily basis. Lots of experimentation created shots that were either a hit or a miss but made me pretty well versed in the application.
